Still putting off that computer purchase?
Before you finally decide to stop putting it off waiting for prices to go even lower, answer these questions.
1. Do I want to write letters or track a space probe? Am I going to store a few text files or videos and movies?
Will I be playing solitaire or that new $200 dollar game with DVD video?
Those are just fictitious questions but you'll need to answer some just like that to make the best choice for a computer purchase, new or used. If typing letters and other text documents is the extent of what you need a computer for, you'll be glad to know that the least expensive computer you can find is probably more than you’ll need.
You will not need anything much more than a 200MHz Pentium (old) with 95 and an older Word program. A printer new will more than likely have drivers for 95. Memory around 64 MB is good 128 is much better.
However if you intend to download MP3 files work with an AutoCAD program play a video game that has specs, which call for 100 MB of memory on the video card and a 1.4GHz P-IV possessor that is what you’ll need to purchase at a minimum.
Software that list its minimum requirements means that if you want the least amount of performance from it, do not run it on any more than is listed here.
The bottom line. You do not need a GHz possessor, and a $300 video card to type letters go on line, send E-mail and help the kids do homework.
I personally cannot tell the difference 200 or 400 MHz possessors when it comes to typing this newsletter. However I can when authoring a website and uploading it with graphics. You should carefully consider what it is you want to do now and in the near future with a computer.
If you purchase a brand new one today it has already been outdated by something else new. If you purchase a used one it’ll probably need an upgrade shortly there after. So there in no right or wrong choice when purchasing a computer only a well planned one, even the old 486s still have some use.
Businesses will have more to consider than students and home users, security is one and not having to buy a new one for at least 4 to 5 years. The same type of basic rules applies in regards to what the needs are, the answers are different.
Businesses will have to consider the long term and short-term needs for a computer purchase and expand on the minim configuration. In other words know what you need, get 20% more just in case.

This is the real issue.
We have failed to see the forest for the trees.
The reason we have lost so many of our young people is that we’ve lost most of our identity.
How? Simple, our cultures were centered around the family unit. The unit consisted of a head (male & female) and a body (female & children). Someone somewhere figured out that to destroy the body you must destroy the head.
To do this a system was devised that actually rewarded (money) to those units that would remain headless. It was called “welfare”. Not only was there a reward for being headless but more for every child that could be bought into the unit.
I am referring to the abbreviated family as a unit to drive home a point in successive issues.
This system needed to be in place for a short time in order for the momentum to carry if for many years. It needed to get engrained into a few generations in order for it to carry itself for many years.
The result is at least four generations of headless units. Four generations of fatherless children, for fatherless mothers. A culture lost. Families in which single mothers are forced to struggle in a system of semi slavery, and no main support.
Meanwhile where are the “heads”; being jailed, drugged, drafted, killed, demeaned and denied.
The “heads” were given no legitimate means of support, jobs, training, or other opportunities needed to provide a family basic need. Of course not everyone, fell into that trap some were fortunate.
What has kept us from being totally lost?
The female with the following abilities to work double duty as mother, father, disciplinarian, guardian, and provider. The discipline that a male figure is much of the basis or glue that directs or structures the unit, the motherly love is what supports and bonds the unit.
One without the other could possibly make the family unit faulty, there needs to be a hint of both. We have seen loosely bonded, misdirected families produce the same children for generations.
The lack of male presence has produced undisciplined male children without a hint of what being a “man” really is and female children whose only use for a man is what they can get out of them.
Real relationships can not be maintained with love and respect for each other because they have not seen it in practice.
Now the bomb the “support” system has been snatched away.
But wait there is nothing to replace it.
What do we do now?

The Three Most Powerful Practical Spiritual Principles I've Learned from Millionaires, That Can Totally Change Your Life!
By Dr. Robert Anthony.
Over the years I have had the privilege to spend time with some very financially and spiritually enlightened people. As a result, my personal life and the way I do business has changed. In listening to these people talk and observed how they handle their personal and business lives, three very distinct and powerful traits came to my attention.
I believe if all these three traits were applied to your life, they would make such a dramatic change, that in a short time all the things you desire would show up in your life. I don't say that lightly, I really have been influenced by these three Spiritual Principles and their power.
I believe – no, I KNOW, you will be too, if you apply them in your life.
Principle Number 1: THEY “KNOW” THEY CAN CREATE WHATEVER THEY DESIRE Spiritual Millionaires choose what they want instead of focusing on what they don’t want. They never spend time thinking about what is “missing” from their life. Rather, they make a choice about what they want in their life. Spiritual Millionaires have 100% confidence in the Law of Attraction.
The have no doubt about their ability to create what they desire. They don’t “believe” it - they KNOW it. There is a world of difference between “believing” and “knowing”. When you “know” the truth about anything, there is no doubt. You have 100% confidence. Knowing is about trusting that you are the only one who knows what is right for you, that you are capable of handling whatever comes to you, and that you are clear on your intentions or the outcome you choose to create. I've seen the power of being absolutely clear on my intentions for my life: They come true!
They have for me, and I watched the Spiritual Millionaires as their intentions came to reality for them as well. Being clear on your intentions is a good first step. However, a more powerful and life-changing step is trusting that those intentions are ALREADY a reality on the non-physical plane of consciousness, and that they must manifest in your physical reality if you do not hold any opposing thoughts. And then, "Act As If..." your intentions are reality, now. Not dishonestly, or outside of your true beliefs. But, to feel it, sense it, imagine how it’s going to "show up" in various situations once it manifests in your life.
Principle Number 2 THEY TAKE ACTION As I observed Spiritual Millionaires, I noticed that they didn't hesitate to move on their ideas and responding to situations that called for action in order to keep the momentum going. Do you get the power of what this Principle is about?
If you're sitting waiting for something to happen, doing other "important" tasks rather than those that you know will produce the results you desire , you are wasting time and you are no closer to your desire. Trust me on this one, I've waited for so many things in my life that never showed up!
Acting on your desire is habit that you desperately need to cultivate in order to get to where you want to be! Waiting will not do it! I watched these Spiritual Millionaires, one after another, take immediate action, not out of fear or to ‘force’ things to happen, but because the next action they took brought them one step closer to their desire. And, I saw tremendous results come into their lives.
They don’t take unnecessary action. Instead, they use the leverage of energy, the same leverage of energy that creates everything in the universe. I have seen these Spiritual Millionaires step into spaces of discomfort, and have courage to take action. It was also evident that they were as scared to take those steps as you and I are when we're faced with the choice of moving out of our comfort zone.
It's time to "Get Moving”, trust your intuition, your sense of knowing what the next step is, and take action. We often wait for the "feeling to be right" first, before we take the action we know will bring us satisfaction. That's backwards! The feelings of satisfaction only comes from ACCOMPLISHMENT, not from pondering and procrastinating. (You knew that one, too, didn't you?!) Never try to force things to happen because you are afraid of what will happen if you don’t take a certain action.
Instead, choose ‘inspired action’ that moves you toward what you want, not away from what you don’t want. Acting on your intentions without trying to force things to happen will magnetize your desires by attracting people, places and opportunities into your into reality that you never would have even seen if you hadn't done so.
Principle Number 3: THEY MAINTAIN AN “ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE” Spiritual Millionaires maintain an “attitude of gratitude”. Gratitude does not need explanation – you know how to be grateful. But did you know that gratitude brings you more of what you appreciate?
Gratitude speeds along the manifestation of your desires. When you find things that you appreciate and you use them as your point of focus, your world has to get better in every area of your life. Spiritual Millionaires know that every time they flood their mind with appreciation or gratitude they attract more of what they desire. Look around you right now. What can you be grateful for?
Make a list.
Get into the authentic feeling of true gratitude.
Find something, anything, to be grateful for right now.
When you are grateful, you're in a high energy vibration that will attract more things to be grateful for and more good things will come to you magically, drawn in by your feelings of gratitude. When I put these three principles into practice for myself, I immediately, I mean IMMEDIATELY, got results!
Every Spiritual Millionaire I have known has created their wealth and happiness using these three principles.
If you want a step-by-step blueprint on how to apply these principles and fine-tune your ability to create whatever you desire, then take a moment to check out my “Secret of Deliberate Creation” program.
I promise you the principles in the “Secret of Deliberate Creation” program will get you the results you desire. And, they are enjoyable, easy and nothing works faster! Want to discover more?

Do you belong to list building program?
If so I have a question for you.
Who are you actually building the list for?
Are you building it for yourself or a program owner?
The answer to these questions are simple, you are building a list primarily for the program owner. Yes, individuals who you bring into the program are below you and you may be allowed to e-mail them every day but that is very rare.
Normally, you can only e-mail to your portion of the list every three days, five days, or seven days. While on the other hand the program owner can e-mail to your list at any time and even several times a day. Most of these list building programs have a free and a pro membership. You can upgrade to the pro membership, for a monthly fee, and increase the amount of times that you are able to mail to your list. But very few allow you to mail to your list daily.
So you see through your efforts you're actually building a list for the program owner.
How much is your time worth to you? How much time do you spend daily advertising to build one of these lists? On average, your time is worth approximately $50 an hour. So if you spend one hour each day trying to build your list in essence it is costing you $50 a day to build a list for somebody else. How many sales have you made off of the list you build?
Have you been tracking your efforts to the list that you have built? If not, you will never know your success rate for this list. Is your success rate paying for your time to build the list? If not, then you are in a losing proposition. Again because your time is money! I understand this issue because I was involved in several of these list building programs.
I spent a couple hours each day trying to cultivate individuals to join my lists. Then one day it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was working for somebody else. So from that time forward I stopped using these programs.
I now only use EFS for all my advertising. The time that I spent trying to cultivate individuals for these lists I now spend in developing content for different areas inside of the EFS.
Last evening, January 4, 2007, Clay had a call discussing the advantages of co-op advertising. If you missed this call I suggest you go to the Knowledge Center and listened to the recording of the call. It is up to you, to determine how to use your time and energy in developing your business plan.
I do suggest that you evaluate your advertising scheme to see if you can improve your rate of return on your advertising dollars. Make sure to add into the equation your cost of time spent on advertising. If you would like further information on this topic please contact me.

When we decided to run this article we had no idea that there would be as much to cover.
In order to get on the Internet with a computer you must first make a connection. That is done when your computer contacts your ISP (Internet Service Provider) who allows you access to the Internet. That connection is by means of regular telephone lines (dial-up), specially configured phone lines (DSL or ISDN), or Cable.
The first two, dial up and DSL are the most popular for home and small business.
A dial up connection is most popular among home users and is the slowest. At 56kbps a large picture or sound file could take 10 minutes or more. A large file 4MB or more could take hours. That means that you’re not only online but on the phone also you pay for the phone call and the connection time to the Internet. This connection is good for sending small e-mail files or downloading text only documents (small ones).
Online game play and MP3 downloads regardless of what size your computer, on a 56K it will run slow. There are some factors that affect speed on the Internet among them are congestion, a 56K rarely realizes 56 thousand bits per second speed. We have seen as fast as 53K and only at certain times of day or night. The bandwidth reduction is more apparent with a cable connection.
DSL is becoming more popular and affordable for home users, and is a must have for most small business. DSL is an always-on fast connection 384 kbps (downstream)/128 kbps (upstream) seven times faster on downloads than 56K. That large picture or sound file now takes a minute or two, that four hour download takes 3 to 5 minutes.
Our personal experience we downloaded a certain web browser on a dial up it took overnight 6-8 hours, that same browser and a newer version took 12 minuets on a DSL connection.
Businesses can maintain an always on Internet connection and not tie up a phone line, this is good when running an e-commerce website that orders are e-mailed to be filled. A DSL connection can support multimedia better than dial up, more and larger e-mail files can be sent and received. DSL comes in different configurations, ADSL with different download and upload speeds and SDSL with the same up and down speeds pricing ranges $40 to $350/month.
DSL has its limits; it is not available everywhere, the further you are from the phone company office the slower your DSL speed. Expect to spend $200 or more depending on the configuration you want.
We now us a cable connection to access the Internet and it is much more efficient that even DSL.

2 October 2006
The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a flash flood watch in effect from 3pm Central Standard Time this afternoon through late tonight. Flash flood watches for portions of Illinois.
I was in my basement office when the lights started to go off and on. At first I thought that someone was playing a trick on me but then I heard the familiar pings of hail hitting the top of my storage shed I knew it was no joke.
The rain started pounding the windows; I had to take a look just as I was about to leave my office, I found myself in total blackness. Inching along as I made my way in the dark to find a flashlight. When I got upstairs I could hardly see out it was a downpour.
I have spent many, many years in Chicago, IL and have never witnessed a storm of this magnitude. I have seen trees down before but not like this. To me this was one of the storms of the century, never before had I seen so much damage first hand.
You see a series of spectacular and gusty thunderstorms had thrashed my neighborhood, as lightening flashed the sky was a bright as day. I saw a transformer take the lightening on and of course the lightening won.
My husband and I went out to take a look around about 4:30am CST; you see we could hear what sounded like something crashing outside but could not look out and dare not to go out into the storm. We got our 5 minutes of fame, being interview by one of the local Television Stations that was in the area.
Fallen trees and there limbs tangled in power lines, made for a very busy Electric company. The electric company was trying to restore power to more than 120,000 customers who were in the dark. As we surveyed our house, we found out that by the grace of god we had not suffered any damage. However, looking down our street some of our neighbors had not been so lucky there are a couple of houses where trees have fell on their vehicles or garage.
As we walked up one street and down another, we found a tree down on each block we visited some were small in nature or split where part of the tree was in the street. We saw this block after block, we even saw a tree that had been planted 60 years or more years ago uprooted.
I want to take this space to say to God Be The Glory for he allowed my home to be skipped. I went without lights for about 24hrs and was ok with it, why you might ask; I will tell you why. I am prepared to be without lights for a couple of days. I keep candles and plenty of flashlights around the house. I also keep a battery operated radio and plenty of batteries. I also keep plenty of bottled water.
The national weather service said that we did not get hit with a tornado but I beg the differ, if you saw the damage that was done how houses were missed and then hit you would say yourself that we had went through a tornado.
Well that’s enough for now; the weather service is predicting more storms for tonight.
